Deep Thanks John. Like you I have found that Grief is not a journey. For me it is an integration, a metabolization, a leaning into the 'Yes' that life still lovingly provides, even in the blackout times. I love the concept of the 'blackout'. I think we all have those, unawares most of the time. Other terms for them perhaps: 'feeling off' - 'hard time of the year' - etc. I'm glad you're back. Another voice in what seems sometimes to be an dark cave is welcome indeed. I write about it too, do Grief Advocacy work and you can find me here under Wisecracks if ever you are interested. I look forward to that book. And, yes, stepping into aging and medical conditions is a delicate dance of maintenance and saying 'yes' to all that is. Congrats on all the beautiful unfoldings. Deep blessings.

You’ve been missed! So glad to hear you’re doing well but sorry for the Hashimoto’s. My prayer for folks experiencing sorrow is that one day the joy of memories will outweigh the sorrow of loss. Knowing the sorrow will never leave us but looking forward to the tipping of the scales, whenever it may come.
