Forward progress is key. What I love about thinking in terms of forward progress is that you don't have the pressure of measuring up to some type of finish line. We just want people on the same page, who have a desire to take the next step forward.
I'm so glad you shared this here. When I read it on CC it really made me think. I hate to admit that I'd never registered the idea that many of my friends live in a diverse world as the only one in their office, their class... It was a much needed rebuke to my myopic sight. The use of the word solidarity is exactly right. Thank you.
